Lakers, baby!!
West Hollywood, CA:
Yesterday was a very busy day. We woke up and went to Subway for breakfast. We then walked back, got the car and drove up to Griffith Observatory. From there we had a great view of the city and the Hollywood sign. We stayed up there for over an hour, also went inside the building. Unfortunately it was a bit foggy so we couldn’t really see the skyline that clearly. The view had its charm though.
We then drove up to Glendale Galleria, to buy some stuff. Jan bought a Lakers jersey at Champs. We then went to Hollister and Jan bought some great shirts and a grey hoodie. Noelle bought a (one!) shirt and a hoodie.
After that we went to Panda Express to get some early diner before we took off for the game. We arrived downtown half an hour later. Parked the car and followed the Lakers fans to Staples Center. It was amazing being there! It was very crowded already and the atmosphere was great. We went to the box office and got our tickets. We walked around a bit, took some pictures and just enjoyed being there. At 4.30pm the doors opened. We went in and bought some shirts at the Team LA store. We walked around a bit, got some drinks and went to our seats. We were pretty high up but had an amazing view. Slowly but surely our section started to fill up and we noticed quickly that they were all very excited and loud (in a good way).
The game was great and it was so exciting to be there. It started with the national anthem, of course. That was a very magical moment. The game started, and it was close all the time. Only towards the end Lakers started to take the lead, they ended winning 124 - 112. It was so much fun. We got out pretty fast, got the car and drove back to the hotel.
